Big news! Lookit what I found!

Aside from that:

So it appears that it is NOT okay to have W come and sleep over on the guest couch in your room. Let this be a lesson to us all. Iron Fist was MOST displeased this morning, for reasons I suppose I can fathom but honestly didn't expect to be that big of an issue. W is one of THE GUYS, is in a relationship, and I made her sleep on the bloody foldout couch! Heh, if she knew the half of what goes on at school... oh well. 'Twas my mistake, I always underestimate how pissed she's gonna get about things.

Last night and today were good, apart from the wrath. I went to go get W around 1130 last night, for one of our awesome Midnight Walmart Trips. It was her birthday, too, so extra special! We actually got yelled at for riding the scooters this time, which was unfair - something about being chastised by a young man with a mullet that he's evidently spent years cultivating makes me die a little on the inside. I was good and didn't waste money on anything there, though W got some haircare products (she was flush from the birthday). After that, over to Denny's, a highschool tradition that I never really got into, but at times ungodly in the morning, their food can be quite tasty. We decided, over omeletes and chicken bits, that it would be an excellent idea to go smoke a jay in my field, and then have W hang about after that, since nobody wants to drive stoned. This proved to be difficult, as we were outside in the cold and dark trying inexpertly to master rolling papers. Eventually, we got a semi-decent one, headed out back, and worked things out. W hit it much harder than I did, though I did manage one bit of wisdom: while watching Jimi play "Fire" at Woodstock, I commented "Jimi Hendrix was the nation's mood ring" which I think is very true.

So the morning didn't go so well, though at least we didn't get busted for the jay. I got Chippy on the line, and went to go get him as I was dropping W off. We toured around all day, stopping for pizza and for AAA and to look at amplifiers (hopefully I can get a job at Parkway this summer... there's somebody working there who knows me but I didn't recognize... Eric Dombrowski, maybe?) and to get my snow tires off. Chippy has gotten spookily liberal for him, saying he identified more with Dems on all issues except Social Security and Medicare, and at one point bursting out with "I sometimes wonder if there's going to be any way to change the government short of open revolution." This from my once token-conservative friend! We were talking about tattoos and piercings, and Chippy implied that if he had to do it all over again he'd have been a punk... perhaps if he'd been raised with more liberal parents (though that can probably be said about anything). I was most impressed with his staunch support for gay marriage and rights, which has never been something he's been overly concerned with before. Good man, that Chippy.

Anyway, what happened happened, and I'm home with a pipe that needs a name (not Mercutio, that's for my glass one - something to do with wandering) getting stoked for Florida. And showing Chippy all about Realdoll. Andy, they have a new model out! I thought you might like to know.
