packt up like sardines in a crush tin box
Sep. 1st, 2004 11:13 pmAlright. Got my classes all finalized.
Monday, 12-115: Europe at the Crossroads, 1500-[whenever]. Just started this one today, but it seems like it'll be interesting. One senior, two juniors, and MAD UNDERCLASSMEN, which makes me feel old. Andy has had this class before and says it's good if a trifle tricky and dry.
130-245: Russian Drama. Exactly what it sounds like. Selections from Pushkin, Gogol, Chekhov, et cetera. With Klimoff, who tends to mutter to himself but can bust out some jokes when the Muse is upon him. Wes, Clare, Rigel and Morg are all in this class with me - Morgan is there, he says, pretty much for the novelty of having a Vinegar Class. We almost busted out with the Laugh at one point, which would have gotten us sent to Siberia, no question. On the plus side, we figured out that Jendy is actually a Russian tsarina by using the example of Alexander I, who was "mystically inclined" and eventually became a hermit.
Tuesday, 1030-1230: Movement for Actors. Run around like a small child for a few hours with Kathy Wildberger. I think I'm going to like this class.
310-610: Actor's Voice. This seems like it'll be a bit of a challenge. New professor, who chose to call me out on several things, but with valid reason so that was alright if a trifle embarassing. However. The things to be learned in that class are awesome, and I think this'll be the class I get the most out of.
Wednesday: See Tuesday.
Thursday: NOTHING
Friday: NOTHING (except for drama200 production meetings, which don't happen all the time anyway).
Fucking ROCKSTARS. Four day weekends. Go college!
Department auditions were tonight; I used Jabberwocky and an excerpt from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, both of which seemed to go over well. Callback lists are going to be posted tomorrow, and actual callbacks tomorrow or Friday. I'm hoping for We Bombed in New Haven cause it's by Joseph Heller and my buddies are working on it (take a bow, McNaney), but I'll be pleased with whatever I get. As long as it's not a janitor character. I've had enough of that this summer.
Had a knock on the door in the middle of NWN tonight, and who should it be but semi-cousin Chelsea Katzenberg! She's awesome! Hurrah!
And I have the most intense poster on order right now. My room will ne'er be the same once it arrives. NE'ER, I SAY AGAIN.
