oh, I believe in yesterday

Closed weekend. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
For those unfamiliar with the concept, Closed Weekend mandates that the cast and crew of a show make good on the promise of soul-sacrifice that they made in order to work on a Department show and stay within thinking distance of the CDF for the longest weekend of their lives - sometimes spanning two years. Ours wasn't as bad as it could have been, since by Sunday we were all so exhausted that EVERYTHING was funny (especially random Strindberg and Helium impressions) so we were carried through by a lot of giggling. Also, we spontaneously broke out into show tunes on several occasions. Poor Corinne would be trying to cue something, looking all professional in her headset, and look up to see the enlisted men snapping their fingers and belting out The Jet Song to the best of their questionable ability. Alex and Andrea snuck in some cookies, so that was pretty good. Show goes up in a week on the main stage, so everyone come see it or Kelsey will blow you up rather violently.
Some amazingly non-cool things as well, namely that there are MIDTERMS NEXT WEEK HOLY SHIT. Not a big fan of this development. However, it also marks the six-weeks-or-so-until-JYA moment, which is exciting. There's only about ten weeks left in the year, and then we ship out for London....a
I've decided that if I'm ever to get serious about some person (namely female) they have to at least tolerate the whole Civil War thing (and I quote - retsampals: hahhahahhaha GOOD FUCKING LUCK).

Six pages to complete on how I relate movement class to Real Life. I'll be in the Retreat, snacking and looking woefully at my notebook for the next several hours. Ain't that a treat? Anyone who's actually jealous enough is more than welcome to write them for me - I haven't the foggiest idea what I'm supposed to be doing.
