Well, damn.

Gretchen's all graduated. I have to say, it was a really nice ceremony, much better than Shen's (though that probably goes without saying). Short and to the point, but still very nice. I got to stand up and yell at her one more time crossing the stage (THAT IS MY SISTER AND SHE IS AWESOME!), and while she didn't hear it, her friends did and told her about it at length, because they were jealous. (I got something of a reputation for yelling THAT'S MY SISTER at an awards thing last year, and she was disappointed that I didn't go to awards this year - so you see, it was in the post).

The extended family has been here the past few days, so I've been schmoozing with them as much as I can, which varies depending on the heat and other circumstances.

And I finished at the Box Office, possibly forever. Which is an extremely sobering thought. The longest running employment of my life, plus the most fun. Mollie is supposed to be sending me the superlatives from last year, so they can be compiled and made into little booklets or some such thing. That's very BO though - better late than never. I have faith that the new kids will do a good job in upholding the traditions, and I hope Mollie remembers about the Geoff Memorial Oreo Cookie Fund (you hear that, Kavanagh? I'm going to be checking up on that).

Tomorrow, I am going to Gettysburg, and then to Maryland for this film shoot. Very very excited for this, as I'm sure you can imagine, and there'll be pictures galore when I get back. Got my bayonet scabbard repaired for the event, as well as a double bag knapsack, so I'm in good shape, as long as I can do a little extra shopping in Gettysburg on the way down (need a shelter half still, and my bloody forage cap is too small - plus, original bayonets! yes please!) I'll be there until the 18th, plus a little travel time, so if anyone needs me, it's cellphone time.

Don't have much else to say. I've been pretty good for the past several days, and I've been eating less sugar, which is especially good because humid weather like this always makes me feel massive. *cue bulimia* And I scored my sister's karaoke machine from the attic, so I can address people with a microphone AND have a functioning CD player all at the same time!

Dinner calls, in the form of mom. Did I mention that we totally got (almost) drunk on her birthday? Cause we totally did.

And now, steak.

(PS: new albums from Finch and A7x out on Tuesday, and they both sound awesome so far).
