Jan. 1st, 2005 02:45 pmAn entirely new year. Spooky thing.
What to say about 2004? Some mistakes were made, some more serious than others, and some good things came from it. People died. People were born. I took on the two hardest acting roles I've ever done (Housman and George) and think I managed them pretty well. I was let down by a number of people, and in turn let others down. I drove from Florida to Poughkeepsie with Alex in one day. Went to many parties. Stopped seeing a lot of people, but tightened up the social circle to my great satisfaction. I got back into reenacting, and am glad to be back with that peculiar little subculture. Worked like a dog at jobs this summer and in schoolwork. Discovered some new bands, went to some shows, started my own band and wrote some original material that I'm pleased with. Made peace with a lot of issues, yet still felt like hiding a good part of the time. Drank and smoked to excess, tried a few other drugs for the hell of it, quit smoking cigarettes, didn't go completely broke, and very nearly went head over heels. And Bush got reelected. It's been one of those up and down years.
And Michael S. Belliss was drinking with us at the New Years party last night. Nobody saw that one coming. He has a Livejournal, apparently, at
belgarath1066 so go pester him to make entries.
Happy 2005 to all.
